The Rivers of Carbon team is really looking forward to seeing you at the Australian Stream Management Conference in the Blue Mountains, 31st July to 3rd August.  We are excited to be presenting a half day  workshop where we will  share the approach of (1) Managing Rivers (2) Valuing People and (3) Sharing Knowledge.

Rivers of Carbon on-ground river restoration program began in 2012 and focuses on rivers around the Australian Capital Territory and Southern Tablelands of New South Wales.  The program is expanding, with communities across the region asking to get involved and to have ‘Rivers of Carbon’ working on their river.  We now have the following projects and want to share with you the work we are doing.

Our workshop will combine science and experience in a way that will  be fun, interactive and rewarding for all who attend.  Topics to be covered include: making riparian science meaningful, stakeholder engagement, storytelling and using social media to share your message.  Take home resources will be provided, as well as all workshop participants being offered the opportunity to become part of the Rivers of Carbon network.

Siwan Lovett, Lori Gould, Haydn Burgess, Mary Bonet and Antia Brademann would love to spend the afternoon with you in this workshop, so check out the conference, register and make sure you choose Rivers of Carbon for Tuesday afternoon!
