On the 5th of December we are holding a morning walk and talk at Margaret and Nagy Sorial’s property ‘Wongajong’ just outside Goulburn.
We will be talking about riparian restoration, water quality, animal health and understanding our waterways through Aboriginal eyes. We have a great group of presenters lined up to share their knowledge and answer your questions, as well as Bean Culture providing coffee and pastries.

What you need to bring: Sturdy waterproof shoes, appropriate clothing (rain, cold, sun) water bottle, sunscreen.
About the Property
This 150 acre site is located just out of Goulburn, NSW and includes a 1.5km stretch of the Wollondilly River. We have been working with the property owners to reverse the damage along the bank from cattle grazing, lift biodiversity and groundcover in the area, and protect it from erosion.
Presenters:
Lori Gould
Lori is the Australian River Restoration Centre’s Rivers of Carbon Program Manager. Lori is practical, approachable and a great person to talk to about all things riparian. She is a skilled community practitioner and is always willing to share her experiences with others.
Siwan Lovett
Siwan is a familiar face in the Australian river restoration community. She enjoys facilitating and empowering others to value themselves and their knowledge so that rivers and waterways can be managed confidently, in partnership with nature.
Kyeelee Driver
Kyeelee is a veterinarian employed by the ACT Government to provide support and advice to livestock managers on livestock husbandry, as well as animal biosecurity and welfare. She is part of the Biosecurity and Rural Services Unit.
Aaron Chatfield
Aaron Chatfield is a Ngunnawal, Kamilaroi man who owns and operates Dreamtime Connections, which focuses on connecting schools and community groups to culture through its interactive and informative “connect 2 culture” workshops.
